Day 3 at the Mike Ferry Superstar Retreat

Robert Clarke By Robert Clarke · September 18, 2026 · 4 min read

Working draft: I am building this post as Day 3 of the retreat unfolds, and I will add today's photos and notes as the sessions wrap. The recap below is my honest, first-person account of the day, with the fuller photo log to follow.

Day 3 at the Mike Ferry 2026 Superstar Retreat at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida is my third full day on the conference floor, and the longest I have been in one training room in a long time. This is the third daily recap in my series from the retreat: real, first-person notes on what the program covers, no scripted takeaways, just what is actually helping me show up better for clients and readers in the Washington, DC area.

Day Three

Three Days In, the Work Is Getting Personal

If you missed the earlier entries, my Day 1 recap covered the retreat's first full day on the conference floor, and Day 2 was where the material started turning from orientation into a plan. Day 3 moved again, this time from plan into practice. The room has settled into its rhythm, the same faces are in the same seats, and the sessions are less about new ideas and more about making the ideas from the last two days stick, out loud, in real conversations.

For anyone following from the DC area, the short version of why I am here has not changed: the same retreat I previewed on the blog is in full swing, and I am on the ground for it. Everything I pick up this week is headed straight back to how I advise DC-area buyers, sellers, and readers, the same way I bring neighborhood guides and market updates home from around the DMV.

Today's Sessions: Notes in Progress

The program has stayed close to the same core that makes this retreat a repeat habit for agents: proven scripts and strategies for selling more homes, practiced out loud rather than just heard; dialogue-building that sharpens the way we talk with buyers, sellers, and leads; and structured coaching aimed at running a predictable business. Day 3 went deeper into the practice side again. More of the day was spent working the conversations ourselves, out loud, the way the material is meant to be used, and less time just taking notes on someone else doing it well.

I am keeping the specific session notes and photos from today aside so I can fold them into this post as the day wraps, but the honest headline is this: the format holds, and the repetition is the point. By the third day, the dialogues that felt foreign on Day 1 are starting to feel like my own words, which is exactly the shift I came here to make.

Sitting out in the room during another live exchange on stage, I found myself watching the way the whole audience leans in together. There is a shared focus that builds over a week like this, and by Day 3 you can feel it in the room. That energy, more than any single slide, is what I expect to carry home from the retreat.

The opening session of Day 3 had the room seated and focused from the first minute, with the speaker up at the podium against the MIKE FERRY SINCE 1975 backdrop and the red stage lights glowing over the palm plants. Walking in and seeing the whole audience already in their seats, I could tell the day was going to start at full pace, and it did.

One of the sessions that landed with me was Ron Cronin on being a professional salesperson, and the point that kept coming back was a simple one: follow the process, and people show up. Watching him on stage in that light blue suit, I was reminded that the consistency this entire retreat keeps circling back to is the same thing that keeps clients coming back, which is exactly what I want to bring home to the DC area.

Key Takeaways

Key Takeaways So Far

Here is where my thinking has landed three days into the main retreat, in plain first-person terms:

  • Repetition is the teacher. By Day 3, the dialogues we worked on Day 1 are becoming second nature. The value of the retreat is in doing the work out loud, day after day, not in hearing it once.
  • The plan is getting concrete. The ideas from the early sessions are turning into a day-by-day plan I can actually execute the week I get home, in any market, including our fall market in the DMV.
  • Consistency compounds. Showing up fully for all three days is what is making the difference. A retreat you only half-attend gives you half a plan, and the daily series has kept me honest about that.
  • The room still matters. Swapping notes with agents from different markets has stayed one of the most valuable parts of the week, and Day 3 only reinforced how much common ground there is across this business.
Between Sessions

Between Sessions at The Diplomat

Between blocks I stepped out onto the grounds again, and The Diplomat keeps making that reset easy. The palm-lined walkways run right up to the ocean, so a few quiet minutes with the Atlantic in view is enough to clear the head before the next session. By Day 3, taking those breaks on purpose is part of how I am staying sharp through the long days.

The hallways between sessions carry their own kind of energy, too. Attendees in business attire move from room to room, stopping to swap notes and catch up before the next block, and the buzz carries all the way up and down the concourse. Some of the best conversations of Day 3 have happened standing in those halls, the same way they did on Days 1 and 2.
